Our Mission at Living Hope Community Church (LHCC) is to be GATHERED TOGETHER IN Christ to grow and flourish as His disciples by worshiping in Word and Sacrament. We are then SENT OUT joyfully WITH Christ in thankful service to our community to make disciples who will continue to make disciples. We are gathered together in Christ and sent out with Christ.
The Vision of Living Hope Community Church (LHCC) is to be the body of Christ in our local community and beyond by making disciples of Christ and nourishing disciples of Christ who then continue to make other disciples of Christ. As we do this, our vision is also to plant other churches where disciples are made who are sent to make disciples.
Core Values:
- The WORD of God: God reveals Himself to us through His Word (the Bible). The Word reveals to us Who God is, who we are and also His loving purpose for all humanity.
- Making Disciples: We respond to God’s call by being sent out to engage others in sacrificial and loving relationships to invite them to personal relationship and Mission with Jesus.
- Discipling: By the work of the Holy Spirit using His gifts to us, we are sent to nurture other believers in our relationship together with Jesus.
- Loving Jesus and loving others: We love God because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). Our love for others flows from Jesus loving us, so that our service points others to Him (Matthew 5:16).
- Caring for all people: We serve and care for others without distinction because God served and cared for us first through Jesus (Mark 10:45). We offer that service and care to others so that all are invited to the truth and love taught by the Jesus of the Bible.
- Reaching out to those in our community: As Christ reached out to all humanity, so we reach out to those in our community in Christian service to invite them to a relationship with Jesus that is our only living hope.
